When I was thinking of ideas for the business flyer, summer immediately came to mind. The summer is just beginning and its already extremely hot. People of all races, ages and religious groups wear sunglasses so my intended audience is quite broad. I chose to go with colors that would stick out to the customer and I also added a coupon to attract people who are on a budget. I used a basic font so it would be easy to read and added an image of a common style of sunglasses that people wear. This flyer definitely appeals to both genders and would look attractive in any setting.
As I was looking through CD covers, I noticed that they were all very simple and straight to the point. Too much imagery or design will distract the customer from the CD’s intended purpose. I didn’t choose too many colors because I wanted to focus on the musical group’s name and album title. The three images are placed in the middle and the group name is in main focus of the cover. This way the customer can find what they are looking for with no problem. I created a logo that is bold but doesn’t distract the customer from the album titles.
I decided to stick with the recording company from Design #2 as the organization sponsoring an event. I wanted the event to be a bit upscale and exclusive so I went with a wine tasting. My intended audience is obviously 21 and older but other than that, it could be very diverse. I went with the color yellow because it sticks out in any setting. They layout is very simple but states its purpose. I didn’t want the image to overpower the information on the advertisement, so I chose a simple wine glass and a basic black border to separate the information and image.
